A number of firearms in the hands of an alleged thief after a gun locker in Kelowna was busted into over the weekend.
Nine handguns of different models were stolen from a gun safe inside of a garage located at a residence on the 2300 block of Stillingfleet Road Friday evening.
Cst. Kris Clark says police didn’t become aware of the theft until Saturday morning.
“Apparently overnight, someone entered the garage through a small opening under the overhead door and pried open the gun safe located there. Inside the safe was a collection of various handguns, all registered to the homeowner.”
Clark says a Samsung cell phone was also stolen.
Anyone with information is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
